Dover Tabernacle Front Collapses During Excavation
The Dover Tabernacle front collapsed Tuesday afternoon six miles northeast of Clare during foundation work for a twenty foot extension. About four feet of dirt was removed when roughly 16 feet of masonry fell into the hole. No one was hurt though workers including pastor Arthur Cunningham and several Abbotts and Goudie were nearby. vibrations from equipment were suspected as a contributing factor. A safe partition will replace the removed wall as the extension proceeds.

Four Kolenda Brothers To Sing At Revivals
The Kolenda Evangelistic party of four brothers plus three ordained ministers will lead a revival campaign starting Sunday October 17 at Clare High School Auditorium with 2:30 and 7:30 pm meetings. Midland Band Parade Highlights From Safe ty Parade
The Glare Band traveled to Midland on October 2 for the Safety Parade and secured position No 32. Other featured acts included a Flint drum and bugle corps a fully accordion band and a Kiltie bag pipes group from Alma College. Central Michigan College marching band led by Norman Dietz joined and Governor Williams spoke at Currie Stadium after the parade. The Midland Band opened with the Star Spangled Banner during the flag raising.
