Schlafley Family Farm Family and Village Ties Document
Ed Schlafley Sr and Eva Schlafley operate a 280 acre farm on Millroad three miles south of Fallwell for nine years. They bought from the McGuire brothers who now run autos and farm machinery. Their son Bill built a house on the parental acreage. Ed Sr and Eva married in 1916 and have five children: Finségeil in Midland, Dorothy in San Bernardino, Ed Jr near Clare, William on the farm, and Leon who lives in a trailer on the farm. The Schlafleys run Hereford cattle and forage for them. The family maintains a long standing orchestra with sons Bill Leon and others. They are members of IOOF Rebekahs, Magene and Eastern Stars, the White Shrine and the Grange.
