Mrs Florence Ward Injured in Hastings Car Crash
Mrs Florence Wiley Ward is injured in a Hastings hospital after a collision near Coldwater. Her husband Kenneth is hurt but less severely while two other passengers escape unharmed. A mailman driver pulling out to a mailbox caused the crash. Mrs Ward suffers concussion and multiple injuries including a broken shoulder. Sister Mrs George House travels to Hastings to be with her.

Fire destroys Earl Willey’s barn near Rosebush
A Sunday night blaze leveled the old Valentine barn south and west of Rosebush owned by Earl Willey. Firefighters and a large crowd watched the rapid collapse while a threshing machine and a large hay pile burned. the loss was only partially insured and the flames could be seen from Mt Pleasant.

Extension Group Meets at Isabella Memorial Field
The Rosebush Extension group gathered at the Field Flouse in Isabella Memorial Field on Wednesday afternoon October 2 to reorganize for the new season. Leaders were chosen to travel to Mt.
