Michigan State horticulture specialist P R Krone advises that hyacinths, tulips, and narcissi for 1987 should be planted now. Hyacinths 2 to 5 inches deep, tulips 3 to 4 inches (Darwins 1 inch deeper), narcissi twice bulb depth, best in light fertile soil rather than clay.
