Death of Johnny Seibt at 25 in Wise Township
Johnny Seibt died at his home in Wise township after a four day pneumonia illness at age 25 years 10 months 24 days. He was born in Cleveland in 1910 and lived most of his life near Clare Coleman area. He married Marion Lamphere in 1930 and leaves wife two children mother two brothers and two sisters. Funeral at St Cecilia church with burial in Cherry Grove Cemetery.

Twenty five officers and delegates led by Dr Harle W Reynolds met at the Doherty Hotel to discuss rapid formation of Veterans Democratic League Posts across Michigan. Currie well in Vernon field shows strong oil flow
News spread in northwest Vernon as the W. Currie well in section 5 drilled past 3900 feet and hit initial pay. The well produced oil at 52 barrels on Sunday night and over 150 bpd after a pump was installed, with acid treatment boosting to 121 barrels per hour. The site lies northwest of the Vernon field, opening a new oil testing area and promising offsets nearby.
