Farwell Sunday marked the eightieth birthday of Mrs. George W. Palmer with cards gifts and a birthday dinner hosted by her grandchildren Mr and Mrs Joe Miller and family. Mrs Palmer is active in local groups including OES and the Farwell Woman's Club. Mrs. W. S. Winchell of Farwell died at her daughter Julia Fuller’s home in Marion. Services were in Marion with burial in Surrey Township Cemetery on Wednesday October 3. The Matthew Brown baby died Sunday afternoon after a brief illness. Mrs. Harold Schofield and family attended a wedding in Indiana. Dorothy Crane was the bride, Ruth Miller her sister’s bridesmaid. Betty Rogers, injured in a September 23 car crash, is recovering in hospital with six to seven weeks of confinement planned.
