At Crossroads Nations Face Judgment Over Idolatry and Drink
A historical biblical reflection warns that nations, like Israel, fall when they neglect God and indulge in drunkenness. Solomon's prosperity led to heavy taxes and division under Rehoboam, while Jeroboam's rule ended in downfall. The lesson cites II Kings 17 and Isaiah 28, noting secret sins and widespread drunkenness as precursors to judgment and eventual repentance.
