The Montgomery cherry is superior to Harry Richmond unless early harvest is needed. Strain spray materials with cloth or wire to prevent trouble. Check apples for color and scab, prune trees to improve sunlight and airflow. Inspect soil for nematodes by rooting plants before planting and cut back new growth to encourage fruiting on new wood.
