One-Family USO Open House For Service Men
From where I sit Joe Marsh notes the Hoskins host a Saturday open house for service men in a home setting. They offer sliced turkey chicken hotbreads cake cider and beer and invite any service man to help himself. Townsfolk worry about potential misbehavior but the Hoskins reflect real American hospitality and moderation. The scene includes singing around the piano and fireside chats, suggesting more families could follow this example.
