The State Bar of Michigan launches a statewide Lawyer Referral Service on March 1 to connect residents with local attorneys for a $10 initial half hour consultation. Call toll free 800-292-7950 Monday to Friday 9 am to 4 30 pm for a referral including name address and phone number of a nearby lawyer and arrange the appointment.
Senator Griffin outlined Nixon administration revenue sharing plans estimating Michigan totals of more than 67 million for cities, 29.7 million for counties, and 5.1 million for townships with Clare County set to receive over 44 000. He noted the figures are preliminary and depend on enacted laws and a separate 11 billion proposal. Wayne State University ranks 20th in US college enrollment with 35 655 students.
Consumers Power Company plans over 1.8 million in Clare division improvements including new substations near Harrison and Gladwin, transmission line work from Coleman to Mt. Pleasant, and expansions at Ferris and Frost stations. The Central division serves 79,000 electric and 13,000 gas customers across 3,940 square miles in multiple counties.
