Survivors Cash Armed Forces Leave Bond After Vet Death
In the event of a veteran holder’s death survivors may cash the non negotiable Leave Bond after five years. Payments go first to the spouse and children in equal shares, then to the parents or grandparents in equal shares. If no eligible survivors exist the bond reverts to the government. Application uses Treasury Form PD 2066.
