Nearly ninety members of the Clara Rebekah Lodge attended Tuesday December 2 for the annual election of officers and the December birthday supper. Officers elected for the coming year include Florence Irwin noble grand Dorothy Shepherd vice grand Madeline Seiter recording secretary Edith Horr financial secretary Elizabeth McIntosh treasurer Carrie Green three year trustee Evelyn Shields degree captain Margtgerite Leonard December chair announcing a Christmas party to be held December 22 with a 25c to 35c gift exchange and a pot luck lunch at the District Association on December 18.

Clara Theta Pho Girls Club Elects Officers in Clare Hall
The Clara Theta Pho Girls Club met in Clare hall Thursday with Lorraine Schultz presiding until Elva June Osborn arrived. New officers elected include Lorraine Schultz president Mary Ruth Hroh vice president Annabel Mathew recording secretary Shirley Wright financial secretary and Doon Foote treasurer. An installation will occur the first part of January. Plans for a travel party during Christmas vacation were announced as members are urged to attend the December 18 meeting. A new file cabinet was unpacked funded by a rummage sale proceeds.

Clare 1.0.0.F. lodge elected Andrew Irwin Jr as noble grand and Lou Lamphere as vice grand for the coming year. Charles Dur nin and Ralph Stevens were reelected secretary and treasurer respectively, with Harrison Simmons as three year trustee. New initiates included Alva White his son Robert and son in law Collie Dixon. The group planned a traveling gavel ceremony at Farwell December 10 and a district meet in Big Rapids December 6. The District Association of ICCF and Rebekah Lodges will meet in Clare December 18 with Clare as host, followed by a pancake and sausage supper.
