Farwell Plan Forty-Second Labor Day Homecoming

Farwell's fortieth annual Labor Day celebration will be held September 6 in Farwell park. The event features an Auld Lang Syne dinner, church services, a Dads and Lads baseball game, an Agriculture Show, a 10:00 a.m. horse pulling contest, a 2:30 p.m. baseball game vs Rosebush, speed model airplane exhibition, free acts by Michigans Own Knapp Family and Ross Sisters, accordion music by The Accordionair, tap dancing by Marlene Miller, and prize contests for produce and domestic work. Lee's United Shows will operate all day with rides, stalls, and a fireworks display at 10:00 p.m. Jeff and Lou invite all to join and provide feedback.

J. E. Spike Horn Meyers proposes to spend his salary as State Representative on hay to feed 600 deer for 100 days December through March.
