Farmers in Michigan will receive census questionnaires from the U S Department of Commerce to inventory farms, equipment, crops, and practices. Enumerators will visit farms from October into December to collect data for national and state statistics on farm size tenure acreage crops livestock and costs.
The Michigan American Legion will dedicate a new 450000 addition to the Fort Custer hospital in Battle Creek on Sunday August 15. The 120 bed unit replaces 141 beds condemned as a fire hazard and brings total capacity to 246 beds with staff including ten RNs and thirteen LPNs.
