Recall drive targets Michigan governor Comstock
A recall movement forms with petitions to oust Governor Comstock. Supporters argue the recall is costly and unnecessary as 404 000 signatures are required, equal to 25 percent of voters who backed him in November, with verification rules and a 30 day window under the 1981 election code. H J Bowersox of Jackson backing the effort says petitions will circulate statewide.
