Clare City Commission approves building permits and water works plans

Ordinance 210 Restricts Youth Loitering After Hours

Clare city ordinance prohibits anyone under seventeen from loitering on streets alleys or public places after 10 PM Sundays through Thursdays and after 11 PM Fridays and Saturdays unless accompanied by a parent guardian or on an approved errand or employment. Police may arrest on duty with no warrant and confinement requires parental notification. Penalty includes fine up to 50 dollars or up to 30 days in jail. The measure takes effect 20 days after passage.
