The Peoria Illinois headquarters run a three cornered scheme tying hatchery men to farmers who raise broilers for a verbal contract to pay 40 cents per pound to the promoter. Farmers pay two to three times value for broiler units and commissions on chicks and feed, while the broilers grade low and sell for 20 to 25 cents per pound.
