Wind Allows Corpus Christi to Escape Major Damage
Residents report minimal property loss and no deaths or serious injuries from a strong wind storm. Notable destruction came from incoming water flooding North Beach and the city edge, washing away the pavilion, pier, and part of the causeway while business districts saw water depths of three to six feet before receding within hours. The florist Frank Kre Jr and his father admire the relief, with Kre planning a return trip and college enrollment plans at A and M.
