Funeral services for Old Resident held at Wheelock
Bryan residents attended the Wheelock service for John B. Cavitt 70 a pioneer Texan and uncle of local Cavitts. The ceremony at Volney Cavitt Cemetery featured Dr. W R Hall of Corsicana officiating and a Bryan First Presbyterian quartet. Cavitt, lifelong Presbyterian elder and former Texas Presbyterian College trustee president, died Sunday at 4 30 am leaving three sisters and several nieces and nephews. He never married.

Funeral Held in Navasota for Mrs Emma Thomas
Funeral services were held Monday at 5 PM at the First Baptist Church in Navasota for Mrs Emma Thomas a longtime member who died Sunday night after a stroke.
