Three to four hundred residents attended the Friday night dedication of Tabor’s new community and school auditorium. Bryan figures voiced support for rural progress as S Hoyle of Texas A and M delivered the dedicatory address. The Allen Aschemy band performed fourteen numbers and proceeds from a small box supper funded basketball and manual training equipment.

A and M welcomes new baby boy for H C Weir family
The arrival of a baby boy mornings in Itasca at the home of Mr and Mrs H C Heinie Weir is announced. Mrs Weir, formerly Miss Helen Downard, is remembered by Bryan and College friends. Heinie II is hoped to follow his father in carrying the Aggie maroon and white to a Southwestern Conference championship.

The East Side PTA announces Bryan High School’s new cafeteria opened this week and is thriving serving six hot dishes daily with four selections for lunch plus milk for 20 cents. Patronage grows and parents commend the venture. sponsors thank Western Public Service for a donated refrigator, City School Board for fuel, Prof Sublett for help, and Lawrence Grocery for caps and aprons. Curtis gave a favorable county talk and will return.

The November meeting of the East Side Parent Teachers Association was held at the high school with a strong turnout. Treasurers reported balances of library fund 121.88 and general fund 21.43, plus total cash 148.26. receipts 22.00 for general fund, 86.39 disbursed. New members Mrs Gee Hassell and Mrs Frank Magee joined, and plans for maps globes and a health measures talk by Miss Elizabeth Curtis were approved along with a forthcoming game tournament.

The Bryan Delphian Chapter held its regular program Friday afternoon at Carnegie Library. The vice president presided over a brief business session with the secretary pro tem. The program focused on The Golden Age of Painting and included reports on The Realistic School Botticelli Leonardo da Vinci Michael Angelo. An exhibit of prints was arranged with help from Dr S E Asbury of College. Roads to College Station Hardened for Thanksgiving Trip
