Passengers Rescue After Lenape Fire Off Delaware Coast

Texas team tops Livestock Show among 12 states at Kansas City

A and M College of Texas led 12 state teams at the American Royal Livestock Show in Kansas City on November 14 with a team score of 4386. Cadet Colonel W. M. Pinson of Forney placed second individually while J. C. Idol and J. G. Gillespie, both Coleman, finished third and twelfth. The Texas team will stay in Kansas City for practice before the International Live Stock Exposition in Chicago on November 28.

Money Missing From College Station Mails

H C Beard of Bryan was taken to Houston in custody of two Federal Postoffice inspectors amid reports of money missing from the College Station mails. The losses involve remittances for A and M Texas football tickets and concern the Y M C A and athletic department. No amount has been officially tallied yet.

Carrolls Married at Clyde Texas This Week

Mr and Mrs Truman Carroll arrived Monday from Clyde Texas where they were married Sunday afternoon at the home of the bride’s parents Mr and Mrs Travis Cody. John McCorquodale Dies at Houston Home at 84

Bryan residents learned by telephone of John McCorquodale’s death at his Houston home at about 12:30 p.m. He was 84, a longtime Texas resident with ties to Bryan and Brazos County. He leaves a widow and daughter Mrs. Laura of Navasota. Interment will be in Bryan city cemetery after funeral from the H and T train tomorrow at noon. more notice to follow.
