El Campo Texas October 27 a local American Legion post received a 100 donation left in an envelope with a note identifying the Ku Klux Klan The gift was accepted by unanimous vote and the post plans to use the funds for fitting up clubrooms reports say this marks the first public indication of Klan activity in the area
Officials of the Meridian Highway association from Winnipeg to Mexico City will meet November 5 at the Cotton Palace in Waco to advance plans for a major international linking road. Delegates from Canada, Mexico and the United States are invited, with Under Secretary F. Roel of Mexico expected to attend. The conference will set the highway program for the coming year and organize committees for work.
