Clubwomen Agree To Make Payment For Austin Home

Amphibian 505 Pound Creature Killed After Floating Down Brazos
A 505 pound amphibian, 7.5 feet long and blue on dorsal areas, was killed near the Brazos river by a group including Carl Cole and Edgar Covey. It was dragged ashore by 17 men, brought to Navasota, then cut up for oil to be used in soap. Dr. O M Ball of A and M College linked the animal to a baby whale.

Death of Mother In Joplin Calls Woman of Bryan
Mrs. A. B. Byrnes left for Joplin Missouri after the sudden death of her mother Mrs. Jeffery Moore from a heart attack. Funeral services are set for Monday in Joplin with interment at Monett Missouri. Byrnes had postponed travel to care for her ill brother and visit Kansas and Missouri before learning of the loss.

Bantam Hen Susie Returns After Hunger Hoard Egg Laying
Mrs. Joe Buck of Sullivan, Indiana reported Susie the bantam hen vanished and neighbors feared dogs. A week later Susie was found under a truck seat but showed no injuries. An inspection revealed she had laid and eaten an egg daily while confined escaped hunger.
