D. P. Walker, formerly of Vixen Creek now of Port Arthur, visited Bryan on Saturday and observed many improvements since he left. He recalled E. W. Crenshaw, not seen for 25 years, and mentioned Mr. Ker who lived 20 years in Vixen Creek before moving to Port Arthur.

Butler Named Representative With Majority Win

George Butler won the state representative race for his first term, defeating Mrs. Rountree and Buford E. Dean by a majority of 264 votes. Sudden Illness Proves Fatal to Man Known Here

Bryan reports the death of Westmoreland of Waco at his Bryan home after a short illness. He was an A and M Texas electrical engineering graduate from the class of 1895. Survived by widow and infant daughter Joan West, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Westmoreland, and brother John Hugh Westmoreland of Waco. Funeral services were held in Waco Monday afternoon.
