Proposed Confederate Pension Amendment Heads to Vote

Texas Senate joint resolution seeks to amend Section 51 Article 3 to allow pensions for Confederate soldiers sailors and widows who were Texas residents before 1910. It calls a seven cent tax on property to fund pensions and dates a November 1924 election for voter approval with a five thousand dollar appropriation for notices.
