Fortieth Birthday Party Held for Mumford Resident

A Mumford gathering celebrated a resident’s fortieth birthday at the Ventrecola home. Music by Sularo Martino John Juleski and John Roys accompanied dancing into early Sunday. Prizes were awarded for party games and a large birthday cake was cut at midnight amid Italian refreshments and thanks to guests.

The Bryan Federation of Young People's Societies postpones the Thursday night rally at Sue Haswell Park indefinitely due to a training school at First Baptist Church. Officers Named By DAR Chapter At Saturday Meet

Dunn Re-Elected As Secretary by Band Teachers

R. J. Dunn director of the A and M College band was re-elected secretary of the Texas Bandmasters Association at a Waco convention. Everett McCracken was re-elected president, with Lyle Skinner named sergeant at arms. A statewide band as a permanent body may form by 1936, with Lampasas hosting a summer encampment and Mexia chosen for the eastern division of band contests. next year’s meeting will be in Dallas.
