Plant Lice Threaten Turnip Greens and Club Notes

Brazos County club notes report a plant lice problem on turnip greens. Entomologist Reppert recommends nicotine sulfate spray or dusting with dry lime to confine fumes to infested leaf undersides. Wheelock Note: Thanksgiving Visitors and Local Games

Wheelock reports a week of social visits from Dr. Ross Dunn of Longview and many guests from Franklin Cameron and Marlin. The Wheelock and Edge basketball games ended 26 to 2 for Edge boys and 16 to 12 for Wheelock girls. A long list of visitors from Mount Calm Waco Junction and A. and M. College attended the Thanksgiving week events and games.

Tabor High School Program Delights Students

Tabor Oklahoma? high school welcomed a program by first and second grades taught by Miss Merle Minkert and enjoyed by all. Local families from Montgomery Bryan Goose Creek and Benchley gathered for Thanksgiving visits and community events. The Women's Club met, planning two quilts for Johan's home and inviting ladies to the December 9 gathering.

Deacon Dubbs play to raise funds for Millican basketball

Millican December 3 The Milli can basketball girls and boys will stage the play Deacon Dubbs on Friday night December 11 to raise funds for basketball equipment. Millican Community Thanksgiving and Church Events

The Millican community enjoyed a church league program at the Methodist church with songs and talks by Miss Ewin Miss Myrtle Cunningham Miss Margaret Davis and Mrs McCrary. Several residents attended the Texas A and M football game on Thanksgiving.
