A M Cooperates In Making Study Adjustment Act

Changes in Police Force This Week

Howard Lee, formerly traffic policeman and night duty, returns to his motorcycle to fill the position vacated by Joe Howard. R. L. Frank, previously with the Railway Express Agency, is appointed to the night force to replace Lee and resume duty as traffic policeman.

Turkey Show At Texas State Fair Promotes Turkey Trot

A 1933 Poultry Show at the State Fair of Texas will feature a "turkey trot" on Sunday October 22 announced by J J Eckford director in charge. Guests of the Wren home include Mr and Mrs George Adams Representative George Butler of Bryan Mrs Aubrey Banks of Denton with Misses Marie Adams and Dorothy Smith who remained for several days.

One figure notes 175000 dollars would go to county farmers for cotton plowed up and over 4000 bales of cotton had been optioned. County radio talks and relief plan outlined by officials

County officials announce noon radio talks over station BRTX this week featuring J. E. Stanford and others to discuss Texas relief policy and a federal program that offers up to 500 million dollars for unemployment aid. Harry L. Funeral Service Continues at First Methodist Church

A funeral service continued from page 1 at the First Methodist church featured two favorite hymns, Asleep in Jesus and Rock of Ages, sung by the congregation. The service reflected local customs and honored the deceased with reverent tributes.

Rt. Rev. J. B. Gleissner notes improved mood as St. Joseph's parish holds a barbecue at Sue Haswell Memorial park to fund the school. Organizers forecast $75 but profits exceed $250 after expenses. Navy Wants Men Enlistment Call In Houston

The U S Navy seeks desirable men aged 17 to 25 with at least ninth grade education and good character to meet Navy physical standards. Interested youths may present themselves or write to the Navy Recruiting Station in the Post Office Building Houston for naval careers.
