RFC Committee Meets With State Official
H. B. London of Houston, doing field work for the Texas Rehabilitation and Relief Commission, visited Bryan Monday to confer with the county RFC committee. Chairman R. G. Williams called a meeting this afternoon to survey relief needs and discuss continuation plans for relief work.

Farmers May See About Crop Loan Here on Mondays
Samuel Heath field supervisor of crop loans for the district including Brazos Grimes and Madison counties will be in Bryan each Monday from 8 to 9 30 a m at the chamber of commerce offices during the collection season. Borrowers needing loan information payments and receipts can call Mr Heath at the stated time and place. Parker Woman Escapes Serious Injury In Crash At College and 23rd

An accident Sunday morning halted Wallin Well No 1 in Brazos Valley after the drill bit caught and the derrick collapsed as workers tried to raise the bit. The hole reached about 1900 feet, far deeper than planned, and backers deemed further work uneconomical though financing a future bore in the area is hoped.

Moody man killed in hit and run on Bryan College road
J A McMahon 62 formerly of Moody and caretaker for six Moody boys and four students at the old Zuber home died after a hit and run on the highway between Bryan and College. Mrs McMahon with him could not identify the vehicle. He died of internal injuries after being treated at Wilkerson Memorial clinic. Survived by wife and four sons, two employed at the college. Funeral services in Moody.

Hen Produces Eggs Inside Egg in Roosevelts Recovery Era
In Eagle Pass on August 14 a White Leghorn hen owned by Santiago Zamaripa laid an egg containing another egg. The large egg measured eight by six and a half inches with two yolks, while the second egg was about the size of a normal egg at five and a half by four and a quarter inches. Zamaripa attributed the phenomenon to the hen's interest in Roosevelt's business recovery program.
