Brownfield Duplicate Bridge Club Winners Honored
The Brownfield Duplicate Bridge Club met Monday with Allyne and Woodson Jones of Seagraves winning first place. Patty Knight and Eunice Hunter of Brownfield took second, Garlie Frazier and Betty Powell of Levelland finished third. Margaret Baker and Hazell Anderson of Lubbock tied with Eddie Morris and Betty Taylor of Seminole for fourth.

Plains I.S.D. wins the UIL District GAA Spring Meet totaling 287 points with 174 in literary events and 113 in athletic events. Fillipp to Receive Master of Science Degree at Tech
Shelly William Fillipp of Lubbock will receive her Master of Science in Food and Nutrition May 14 from Texas Tech University. A 1974 Plains High School graduate, she earned a 1978 BS from TTU and is a Registered Dietitian. She served as County Extension Agent in Lubbock for the Expanded Nutrition Program. Steve, her husband, is an architect, and they have a five month old daughter Paige.
