Open house at Police Department to inspect new quarters
The Police Department will conduct an open house for all interested residents to inspect their new quarters tomorrow and Sunday. The Fourth of July committee executive board meets tonight at 8 p.m. in the Council Chambers. Estelle Ferreira has returned home from the hospital and thanks friends for cards and gifts. A Rhode Island Audubon Society film lecture titled Ranch of the Purple Flower will be shown Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Rhode Island School of Design auditorium, presented by Robert C. Hermes. Mr and Mrs Donald Stehle announce the birth of their second child, a son named David, born February Brandon, February 8. The 1906 class of Brittiel Senior High School will meet February 25 at the YMCA to plan their 20th reunion.

Hitchcock Seeks Rhode Island Junior Chamber Post
Richard C. Hitchcock announced at the Warren chapter meeting that he will run for president of the Rhode Island Junior Chamber of Commerce at the upcoming convention in Pawtucket May 16 and 17. The chapter endorsed his candidacy, with nominating committee named for the April local election. Mrs Lucia Murgo, 91, widow of Paolo Murgo and mother of Town Engineer Joseph A. Murgo, died after a long illness at 53 St Elizabeth's St. Funeral set for 8 am tomorrow from Sansone Funeral Home with a 9 am Mass at Our Lady of Mt Carmel Church. Burial at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Boy 7 Unhurt After Foot Crushed by Car
Rodney Roderick seven, of 33 Sowams Drive, suffered a crushed left foot when he alighted from a family car into the path of a car driven by Clarence H. Taylor, sixty six, of 834 Brock Avenue, New Bedford, Massachusetts. The accident happened at the corner of John and Thames Streets at about 3 30 p.m. Monday.
