Hart Angry With School Committee Report Refusal

Mayor Hart condemns the School Board committee on new buildings for alleging duplicity between City Hall and the State House. He refuses to transmit the committee's report to the City Council, citing corporation counsel opinions and plans to veto school-house items in the loan bill. Bishop Lawrence Denies Wealth Warning Claim

Bishop Lawrence told a Post reporter he did not predict the ruin of the republic from wealth and luxury in Providence. He said his address opposed such a view and warned only of a trend to distrust growing prosperity as a sign of moral decline, citing history for support.

Manassah E. Bradley, a disappointed ward hopeful, faced Judge Emmons in East Boston court for violating a city ordinance. A reserve officer testified Bradley was seen pasting circulars on Webster street and other surfaces the night of the caucus. He pleaded guilty and his case was placed on file.
