Man on Wrong Train Injured by Jumping Man

John Quinn a baggage handler in Portsmouth was on the wrong Boston bound train when a man jumped from the platform into the moving yard train. Quinn suffered a bad scalp wound and a broken nose and is hospitalized at Portsmouth Hospital.

Morrison I. Swift and Caleb F. Howard led a delegation of Italians Finns and Greeks representing Draper Company workers in Hopedale. Powder Point School Fire Escapes By Night Student Rouses Others

A blaze at Powder Point School caused an estimated fifty thousand dollars damage. At 8 30 p m Donald B Sleeper a student sleeping in the eastern end of the main building spotted flame on the piazza roof and alerted fellow students who moved to the roof and quickly extinguished the fire.

Milford May 13. A committee from the I W W headquarters asked the Massachusetts Pink Granite Company to discharge Draper strikers at the quarries. Officials refused, telling the delegation to leave. Strikers who refused I W W inducements to quit work are expected to continue working despite the visit.

Mother Saves Son From Death by His Own Action

In Portsmouth New Hampshire on May 13 Ralph Hersey 25 attempted suicide by inhaling gas from a hose to a jet. His mother found him unconscious in his room and he was rescued. Doctors report he is expected to recover.
