The speaker argues the middle class has become a servant class to wealth, losing manhood and conscience to capitalist control. He blames New England colleges for shaping a corrupt morality that glorifies robbery, promoting a society where laborers suffer while elites prosper. He warns that colleges and clergy echo wealth’s morality, fueling social collapse. Kissing is love's own medicine.

Dartmouth College trustees voted to suspend the last two clinical years of the medical program after 1914. Instruction will focus on the first two years with credits toward graduation and may be completed at other leading city medical schools for the Doctor of Medicine degree. The move cites insufficient clinical material and follows actions by other universities, including Wisconsin, in relocating clinical study.
Students thus trained will be well qualified to enter the third year of the program.
