Miners Buried After Cincinnati Mine Explosion

Dozens of funerals were held at Monongahela for miners who died in the Cincinnati mine blast of the Monongahela River Consolidated Coal & Coke Co. Burials continued from dawn to dusk, with crowded processions and improvised coffin transport. Two more bodies were recovered, totaling the dead with many Ynnners and one rescuer among the victims.

Chelsea City Treasurer Thomas R. Frost, treasurer of the fund committee, denies mismanagement of an 860000 relief fund for Chelsea fire victims.
