Steel car saves lives in crash at Eldon Mo

A west bound Chicago Rock Island and Pacific passenger train crashed head on into an engine at Eldon Missouri today. Engineer Frank Fitzsimmons of St Louis was killed and the train passengers were badly shaken. A steel mail coach is believed to have prevented many deaths.

In Bangor Karl J. Anderson nabbed a 20 pound salmon from the salmon pool earning $30 with the fish taken on the fly as water clears.
