Writers bar nears the end in midtown Manhattan
Costello’s, a 40 year home to Hemingway Thurber Steinbeck O’Hara Ruark and many others, faces closure as American Home Products expands. The bar’s Costello family legend features Thurber cartoons and Hemingway’s cane. Closure expected by early January with a likely farewell party.
