Objective Correlative in Art at Southern Vermont Center

A compact review of the Southern Vermont Art Center exhibition notes Mary Eldredge's welded copper figures for their elegant, plain style though they read as faintly unevocative beside Michelangelo's Moses. It cites Chagall lithographs as uneven except for Springtime on the Meadow, plus a strong William Penn-like photography segment and Carl Ruggles watercolors. The piece ends urging a visit to judge the show for its felt emotional impact.
