Suit Filed Against H. L. Hunt
A 1.5 million suit was filed in Richardson Texas against multimillionaire oilman H. L. Hunt and associates by Joyce Rothermel wife of a former Hunt security chief. She claims Hunt Oi Co and three Houston detectives helped install a home telephone tap. One investigator Jon J Kelley was arrested in 1970 for tapping the Rothermels’ line. The FBI received the police evidence but the case did not reach federal court.
