Important Decision by Judge Parmelee in Sheridan Ruling
Judge Parmelee handed down a decision last week in Sheridan that clarifies an important principle affecting the stock interests of the state. The case involved Basin Cattle Company’s injunction against Mor eur Brothers over water use from Deer creek. The judge ruled that sheepmen or cable men using the water did not constitute pollution under the statutes, and thus the injunction was dismissed. Rh. B. West of Ridgely & West represented the defendant Moncur Brothers.
