Skeleton of N A Lindsay Found Near Cedar Creek

The June 24 Republican notes the discovery of N A Lindsay missing from Shell creek. Remains were found with two horses near Cedar creek, a pack horse, and a third wandering. Lindsay evidently died after a fall and failed fire attempt with five wet matches. A watch, knife, and $1.31 were found with letters from his wife. An inquest by Judge A H Early revealed no further facts.

Painfully Injured Georles Eckward Thrown From Horse

Eastern horse tender Georles Eckward was thrown from a horse while bringing in a string from Pitchfork ranch. He suffered a deep cut over the left eye with flesh exposed. Dr. Carter treated and stitched the wound. he is able to be out.

Horrific Shell Road Accident Injures Two in Basin

Miss Mae Bickford, employed by Johnson & Bailey, was thrown from a buggy on Shell road near Basin and suffered a broken wrist and fractured ankle. Jacob Schenk of Nowell & Schenk, assisting with a surveying instrument, was severely cut by barbed wire as the runaway team collided with a fence. Schenk sought help in Basin, while Bickford received prompt care from local friends.
