Water Board considers coal supply contract extension
A brief seasion yesterday discussed the city coal supply. The Atlanta Railway and Power Company contract expires December 31. No new contract was entered, and the board may ask for a thirty year extension. Council planned no January meeting due to incomplete negotiations between Mr. Atkinson and the city. The finance committee later burned redeemed city bonds totaling a bit over 78 thousand dollars. The police dealt with thefts and aid for the needy, while city officials announced postal and service details for Christmas.
