Train wreck at Allentown kills six in Lehigh Valley crash
A Philadelphia linked Lehigh Valley car left Allentown at 6 30 PM for Coopersburg, jumped a curve on a wet snowy night and toppled into an embankment. Six people were killed and several dozen injured, including Tobias Kessler aged 60 and Albert Yeager aged 40. Conductor A L Leldich and Motorman Charles Stocker were among the injured. The Coopersburg line had opened just a week earlier.
