Nelsonville man pleads innocent to burglary and threats

Nelsonville resident Christopher Ryan Adam Teal, 19, pleads innocent to burglary three counts of intimidation and vandalism from a June 27 incident. He allegedly damaged property and threatened officers Sean Champ Mark Van Duren and Emma Jones while intoxicated. A judge set bond at $75000 with a 10 percent lien. pretrial is Aug. 23.

Settlement reached in Athens dog bite case

A Cincinnati woman settled a 2014 dog bite lawsuit in Athens County Common Pleas Court against John and Sylvia Gleason and their daughter Mary Gleason. Judge McCarthy dismissed the case after parties stipulated to the settlement. The suit claimed injuries from a dog bite and sought more than 25 thousand dollars on three counts plus punitive damages.

Teamsters Back Portman In Ohio Senate Race

The 50,000 member Ohio Conference of Teamsters endorsed Republican Rob Portman over Democrat Ted Strickland in the contested U S Senate race. Cleveland cops ship water to Philadelphia for convention

Millfield Man Pleads Innocent in Meth Charges

Millfield resident Glenn E. Rutter III 37 has pleaded innocent to charges tied to alleged methamphetamine manufacture.
