Pro Wrestling debuts at Athens County Fair with eight matches
The World Classic Professional Big Time Wrestling made its first appearance at the Athens County Fair drawing a large crowd to Grandstand Arena for eight bouts. Fans queued for a pre event meet and greet with celebrities like Buff Bagwell and The Honky Tonk Man at ten dollars per autograph. Nelsonville celebrates school restorations and new foundation fund
Nelsonville district officials and city dignitaries joined the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio to honor the restoration of two Fayette Street schools, the junior high built in 1907 and the senior school from 1924, and to launch the Nelsonville Foundation Fund. Retiring registrar Dorothy Gettle was feted by trustees Bill L Heureux and Robert Robinet te, who presented a bronzed bell from the old junior high.
