Sumter County Commission grants road work and tax rules
May 4 1908 regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of Sumter County records action on road taxes set at 2.50 and security bonds of 200 each for the district superintendent. Petitions for multiple new or altered roads were granted or postponed, arrangements to settle bank balances renewed, and county purchases approved. The session ends with adjournment and a joke about a college-educated son.
