Quotations held steady from Tuesday. New York opened down 13 points for July and 3 for new crop months, recovered 4 to 9 points intraday, then slipped to near unchanged by close. New Orleans fell 14 to 17 points.

Fred T Suber, in town for the holiday, spent Sunday in Americus with his mother Mrs A T Oliver. Guests Bo Joiner and nieces Lillig Mae and Thelyna Easterlin enjoyed a pleasant Sunday in Dawson with Mr and Mrs Jacious Hill. Attendees to Gay Smith's speech in Americus included B F Basterlin W C English and J S Johnson. Mrs Mes Basterlin and Mrs Paul Carterlin visited with Mrs Basterlin Tuesday. Superintendent Smith of Mie Street department met Hastorne Way to inspect the bridge over Town Creek near the Centre Railway depot. A nearly new structure will replace a decayed Ambers In the Bridge. The bridge is closed to all vehicles for several weeks while repairs proceed.
