Rainbow Assembly to Install Officers Saturday Night
Alpine assembly No. 5, Order of the Rainbow for Girls, will hold a public installation of its officers for the ensuing term Saturday night at 7 30 at the Masonic lodge. Following the installation a dance will be for the members and their guests. Installing officers include Worthy advisor Dorothy Ann Perkins and Lucile Perry. Others to be installed are named with many positions listed. All interested are invited.

A large consignment of government food was distributed here last week by the local relief board. It included 900 dozen eggs, 3000 pounds of salt pork and 2000 pounds of butter. A prior consignment of 2000 pounds of pork had been given out. Another shipment is expected within days.
Mitre Peak Park Suit Heard at Fort Davis
In district court Judge C. R. Sutton rendered judgment for W. B. Petrich against A. J. Tipple. Petrich collects 8182 dollars with six percent interest for about eighteen months and recovery of property valued at 2250 dollars or cash. The suit concerns buildings and furnishings of Petrichs tourist resort on Tipit ranch near Mitre Peak, including electric light plant bedding and office fixtures.

Former Brewster Resident Buried in Alpine After Illness
Former Brewster County resident MH Morton Matthews, who died after years of tuberculosis and illness, was buried Wednesday in Elm Grove Cemetery Alpine after services at his brother W Matthews home in Marfa. Survived by widow Mrs Barnett and three brothers, with ties to Brewster County ranching near Marathon and Mart.
