Community Notes From Skinner Ranch Area

Mr and Mrs Bert Goodwin have moved to Skinner ranch nine miles from Allamore where Walter Skinner of San Antonio arrived to oversee ranch interests. Rev C H Miller, pastor of the Methodist church, reported good attendance at Port Davis services. Local residents include Guy S Combs visiting from San Antonio. A birthday party honored Clinton Ritchey’s fourteenth birthday with Bunco and games. Numerous neighbors attended. Mrs Homer Spruce hosted a Mexican dinner for guests including Ritcheys and others. John Dragoo and son Lee returned from Del Rio and San Antonio. The chili supper by the Starathon Study Club drew a large crowd. Mrs Johnnie Aust of Tesnas visits her parents in Ysleta. Spaldings from Saudy Butte are guests at the Buttrill ranch. Tom Yarbro and family visited Sanderson with Mrs Adams returning to Louisiana Saturday. Mrs John T Martin hosted a lunch with Mesdames Yarbro Ritchey and Arnold present.
