Visiting Students Honored With Waffle Supper

Mrs. Lois McIntyre and Mrs. H W Morelock hosted a waffle supper at Mrs McIntyre’s home on Friday evening to welcome their daughters Mary Virginia McIntyre and Frances Morelock home for Easter from the University of Texas. Guests received Easter baskets with candy eggs and played contract bridge.

Mrs. Clay Holland entertained Sunday evening with a steak supper on the lawn to honor her son John and his guest Bert Phillips of Ft. Worth. Mrs Homer Ferguson Hosts Contract Club at Holland Hotel

Mrs Homer Ferguson entertained her contract club Thursday at the Holland hotel. The game room sparkled with tulips and bridal wreaths as Easter motifs framed the refreshments. Guests included Mesdames J. S. Hord Clay Holland Vernon McIntyre Lee Kokernot King Terry Edgar Martin and Miss Eva Chaffin. High prizes went to Mrs Hord and Mrs Kokernot.

Methodist Society and Bridge Club Gather For Socials

The weekly society notices describe Mrs Lois McIntyre hosting the Wednesday Bridge club with prize winners Mrs Thompson and Mrs Burcham. The Meriwether home hosted a contract gathering with a Mexican lunch for guests including Mesdames Kokernot Decie Terry Mollison Martin Graham Meriwether.
